My journey into audio design began over a decade ago, driven by a passion for music and a self-taught approach to learning. Originating from Piermont, NY, I immersed myself in music through YouTube tutorials and casual jam sessions with friends, which soon became my creative outlet. During this time, I also established myself as a bartender, a career that provided me the flexibility to explore various cities across the country throughout my twenties.

After residing in Breckenridge, CO, and later Manhattan, NY, I found myself drawn to Los Angeles, seeking a new environment to fuel my creativity. However, it wasn’t until I settled in South Lake Tahoe that I decided to formalize my education, moving to Bellingham, WA, to pursue an associate’s degree and delve into the world of music and audio technology.

During my nine-year tenure at a local restaurant in Bellingham, I pursued education rigorously, attending multiple colleges and eventually earning a certificate in audio production from the University of Washington. It was there that a transformative experience with a professor redirected my focus from music to sound design for linear and interactive media, igniting my passion for creating immersive auditory experiences.

To deepen my expertise, I enrolled at Western Washington University, completing an interdisciplinary degree with a concentration in audio technology and sound design. Here, I honed my skills in analog recording and ProTools, gaining hands-on experience in both campus and local studios. This comprehensive training laid the groundwork for my proficiency in sound design tools and techniques.

Despite challenges, including setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, I persevered, leveraging my ADHD-driven determination to build a network within the local media industry. I secured roles as a sound engineer at Bellinghome School of Music and collaborated with talented professionals on diverse projects. Recognizing the need to diversify my skill set, I pursued a certificate in computer programming at BTC, further broadening my capabilities in technology-driven audio solutions.

Currently, I am focused on establishing myself as a sound designer for both linear and interactive media. While my portfolio primarily showcases linear media projects, my goal is to demonstrate my ability to implement sound designs across interactive platforms. Through continuous learning and networking efforts, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of audio creativity and making meaningful contributions to the industry.
